Microsoft has just released a full function tablet designed to compete with laptop computers. Running a full Windows 8.1 OS, this tablet can run any standard Windows Desktop software, opening the door for portable computing on a whole new level. Of course, as business moves to fully mobile Windows devices capable of running all apps, the need to backup data contained on those devices will also develop. Enter MrBackup! MrBackup already works on a wide variety of Windows platforms and should install easily on the new Surface 3 tablets.

Microsoft is back with a brand new Surface 3 tablet, but this time things are a little different. While the original Surface RT and Surface 2 tablets didn’t let you run traditional Windows applications, Microsoft is ditching ARM processors and Windows RT to bring a full version of Windows 8.1 to its new Surface 3 with an Intel Atom chip. If you use Chrome, iTunes, Steam, Photoshop, or the thousands of other desktop apps available in Windows then you’ll finally be able to use them on a non-Pro Surface tablet.
